It’s been a long while since I’ve posted an update to the blog, also a long time since I’ve photographed a concert, but with the JFDR concert last week, I can do both.
This tour JFDR consisted of the musical duo Jófríður Ákadóttir and Joshua Wilkinson. You may know Jófríður Ákadóttir from Pascal Pinon, Samaris, and Gangly. Joshua has worked in studios for a diverse set of artists from Ben Frost to John Grant, Damien Rice to Valgeir Sigurðsson.

The set was intimate, with short introductions to songs, songs from an album currently sitting on a hard drive about to be released mixed with classics. JFDR has an incredible ability to flawlessly float her vocals over guitar and Joshua seamlessly finds way to produce sound to accompany her in real time. Two people on stage, yet it felt there was an entire band. If you can’t tell, I really enjoyed the concert.
